Mile building: Gibraltar to Canaries

We are pleased to offer you Yachtmaster passage sailing from Gibraltar, the gateway to the Mediterranean, to Las Palmas de Gran Canaria in the Atlantic. Although this trip could be used as part of your Yachtmaster training it is also available as an adventure sail and how much training you wish to obtain with us is entirely up to you.

On route, you will sail across the Straight of Gibraltar crossing over to the beautiful Canary Islands. You will gain around 800 nautical miles and passage experience as well as the chance to gain watch-keeping skills. You could use this trip towards qualifying for your RYA Yachtmaster.

This passage is a great way to get some Mediterranean sunshine in autumn and gain miles. Enjoy great sailing, expert Yachtmaster training as well as some fantastic scenery before arriving in Gran Canaria and flying out via the international airport served by low-cost airlines.

You will be part of the watch system and will be expected to take an active role in all aspects of sailing the yacht as well as cooking, general onboard housekeeping and watch duties
