AURORA SAILING IN ANTARCTICA
The Russian expedition led by Faddei Bellingshausen and Mikhail Lazarev on the Vostok and Mirny ships discovered Antarctica on January 28, 1820. 2020 is a historic date - 200 years from the date of the discovery of Antarctica by Russian sailors. We do not offer you a cruise, we invite you to repeat what these sailors went through and become a part of the history of the development of the most mysterious sixth continent of the planet. While Elon Musk is trying to expand to space, we want to expand to the oceans and study the mysterious space on Earth - Antarctica. A trip to Antarctica is only for real men. And the memories of this remarkable event will remain with you for life!

ACTIVITIES
• Yachting
• If you want and you have the skills, you can participate in the steering of the yacht
• Going to the land on a tender (a rubber boat with outboard engine)
• Raising the flag of your company on the Antarctic mainland
• Sending letters from the only post office at the British Antarctic Station - Port Lockroy
• Diving (if you have your own equipment and professional skills. The yacht has cylinders, a compressor and cargo).
• Ski-tour / back-country - skiing and snowboarding (if you have your own equipment and professional skills)
• A visit to the sauna and bar at the Ukrainian Antarctic Akademik Vernadsky station. Possible activities depend on weather conditions, their availability and safety are determined by the captain of the yacht based on the actual situation.
This is my first experience on a yacht. Will I be able to do it?
- The main thing is your attitude. All the tasks will be performed by a professional crew.
I'm afraid of seasickness, won't I feel sick?
- On average, a person adapts in 1-2 days. If seasickness bothers you, the crew will tell you what to do.
Is it safe? I have a wife / children / business / real estate ...
- There is some controlled risk in every water venture. We are professionals in our field and do not expose the expedition members and the ship to unnecessary risk. Navigation safety is the basis of our expeditions.

Arrival in Ushuaia, and checking into a yacht.
Ushuaia is the capital of Tierra del Fuego and the most southern city in the world. Now it is a popular tourist center. Most expeditions to Antarctica depart from here, so there are many specialized stores.

Additional day on land in case of flight delays.
You can use this day to walk around Ushuaia. Some interesting sights are the building of the former military prison, the Presidio Museum, the End of the World Museum, which is dedicated to the flora and fauna of this area, as well as the Yaman Museum.

Deception Island was an Antarctic volcano in the past. The latest eruptions happened here in the 60-70s of the 20th century. There are several research stations on the island.

We will see the most southern Argentinean city - Ushuaia, sail through the unpredictable Drake Passage, watch penguins, sea leopards and seals, visit the Melchior Islands and drop by the most southern bar in the world - at the Ukrainian research station Akademik Vernadsky.
