About the event

Yachting on the White Sea is a unique atmosphere of the North, the ability to go to the most reserved places: everything that we see is accessible to the traveler only by water, there are no other ways. In the summer of 2020, we will again go to the Russian north, to Karelia, on sailing yachts.

In these places you can see belugas and fur seals, ancient Pomeranian villages, stay in picturesque bays and bays, climb rocks and walk through pine forests.

Start of the journey from the village of Chupa, Karelia. Special training and yachting experience is not required - you only need the desire to go.

Our trip to the White Sea is a real trip. We will spend the night in a sleeping bag on board the yacht or in a tent, prepare tea at the stake, boil mussels and steam in the bathhouse. We’ll also walk through the woods and climb Karelian stones, so take comfortable waterproof shoes and warm clothes.

We cook ourselves, each yacht has a small gas stove and a set of dishes (pan, pan, cups and cutlery).

In summer, a polar day in Karelia means that sunsets of incredible beauty last for several hours, and the sun hardly sets. How to get there

Our escort will meet you at Chupa station - trains from Moscow and St. Petersburg go there.     1 день Чупа - Соностров Прибываем в Чупу, нас встречают и отвозят до причала — домика местного яхт-клуба. В 10 утра мы собираемся вместе, проходим инструктаж по безопасности, и знакомимся с капитанами и разбиваемся на команды по лодкам. Закупаем еду и устраиваемся. В обед мы выходим в море, переход займет около 4−5 часов. Маршрут проходит по узким проливам Чупинской губы. По пути можем встретить обитателей местной фауны: тюленей, водоплавающих птиц (например, занесенную в «Красную книгу» гагу). На Соностров прибудем вечером — там, на удаленном от цивилизации кусочке суши живет всего одна семья.
