ISSA day skipper course

Sailing Yacht Course - Inshore Skipper ISSA

A seven-day intensive course in small groups, with no more than 4 participants, to obtain the international license of Inshore Skipper ISSA. You will complete 40 hours of practical sea training and 20 hours of theoretical lessons. Upon successful completion, you will receive an international license that allows you to independently charter a yacht in most countries.

Course Program:

• Structure and equipment of a sailing yacht
• Handling the yacht under engine power: maneuvering, mooring, anchoring
• Handling the boat under sails: setting sails, wind courses, tacking and jibing, gybes, reefs, drifting
• Classical and electronic navigation
• Meteorology and weather
• Rules of vessel traffic
• Passage planning
• Night navigation
• Man overboard rescue
• Emergency radio communication
• Team management

If you strive to learn as much as we strive to teach you, by the end of the week, you can become a novice seafarer. We look forward to welcoming you!

Classes take place in the waters of Haifa.
