IYT Bareboat Skipper. Theoretical course.

IYT Bareboat Skipper Certificate allows you to independently manage a sailing or motor yacht, own or leased. Limitations of this level relate to the size of the yacht - up to 24m, distance from the coast - up to 20 miles, sailing is allowed only during daylight hours and under favorable weather conditions. A typical weekly cruise fits well with these limitations.

In Northwestern Yachting School, in order to become a Bareboat Skipper from a beginner level, you need to take a theoretical course and two weeks of practice on a yacht. Moreover, the first week of practice can be completed both before and during, and after the theoretical course; and the second week of practice - necessarily after the end of the theory.

Part of the theoretical yachting training course must be completed online, you can do it at a time convenient for you and in a convenient place. The cost of this yachting online course is included in the total cost of training. But it is impossible or ineffective to convey certain educational material from the computer screen, therefore a significant part of the theoretical course in our yachting school is taught in the classroom by our yacht instructors.
