KINGS CUP REGATTA 2021
The Kings Cup Regatta in Phuket is the largest and most popular regatta in Asia. The first regatta took place in 1987 and was dedicated to the 60th anniversary of His Majesty King Phumipon Adulyadej. Since then, the event has been held every year during the first week of December.
More than 140 yachts of various classes, such as sports yachts, catamarans, cruise yachts, as well as Optimist and Laser class sports yachts, participate in sailing races. Yachtsmen with different levels of training are invited to participate in the regatta. If you do not have the experience, we will help you find a team where experienced yachtsmen will help you get comfortable and become a useful member of the crew.
The regatta will finish on the island of Phuket, in the area of Kata Beach. The race winners in each class receive a royal cup.
Competitions are held off the southern coast of Phuket, which is world-famous for its sandy beaches. The average air temperature in December is around + 27 ° C. At that time, there is also a dry season, so the weather is very pleasant for racing and for relaxation.

Today you have the opportunity to spend time on one of the best beaches in Phuket - Kata Beach. This beach is one and a half kilometers long with white sand and a lot of activities - from bars and restaurants to water skiing and windsurfing.

You can just spend time in a restaurant near the beach, or you can go to Dino Park to play mini-golf, or at the Karon View point. It offers a magnificent view of the three beaches - Karon, Kata and Kata Noi.
