Route "Central Croatia"

Croatia is the place where the Mediterranean, Alps and Pannonia meet. There are few countries in Europe, and in the whole world, where unique natural complexes and historical monuments, the beautiful sea coast with hundreds of islands and numerous castles, dense forests and many thermal springs coexist in such a wonderful way.

On our weekly yacht tour of Croatia, the pearls of the central Adriatic. We will visit Trogir, Sibenik and Split, the UNESCO World Heritage Sites, walk along the river between the rocks to the town of Skradin, take a walk to Krk Falls, one of the most beautiful in Croatia, take a look at the charming town of Rogoznica and anchor in a cozy bay on Zakan Island in Kornati National Park.

Our trip will take place on a comfortable sailing catamaran

Lagoon400 S2 video review of which you can watch in my yachts.

Duration: 8 days / 7 nights.
Length of route: 140 nautical miles.

Day 1. Saturday

We meet in the Marina Zaton marina near the town of Sibenik. Captains accepting yachts, purchasing and delivering products on board.

General briefing with all participants. Safety briefing.

Sibenik is one of the most beautiful cities in Croatia, included in the UNESCO heritage list. Narrow streets scrambling up the hill, green shutters, ancient temples, a hill fortress tell the 1000-year-old history of the city.

We recommend arriving in Sibenik one or several days earlier to enjoy the beauties of this pearl of Croatia.

Day 2. Sunday

In the morning we go out to sea and make a small transition to Rogoznica, get acquainted with the structure of the catamaran, learn how to knit sea knots, mooring techniques, the basics of catamaran control.

Day 3. Monday

We are heading for Split. The Croatian city of Split in the resort region of Dalmatia attracts not only beach lovers, but also architecture lovers. Its main attraction is the vast ruins of the palace of Diocletian, erected by order of the Roman emperor in the 4th century AD. e. The palace complex, with more than 200 buildings, once served as protection for local residents. Now inside it there are shops, restaurants, hotels and residential buildings. Split Cathedral is also located there.

At will, we can book an excursion or see the city ourselves ...

Day 4. Tuesday

Today we will visit the city of Trogir. Trogir, founded in the 3rd century BC, is located 20 kilometers north of Split . e. This is another place in Croatia, which can rightfully be called a museum city. The historic old town is located on a small island, separated by a narrow channel from the mainland and a channel wider from the large island of Ciovo. The bulk of the population of Trogir lives in the mainland and on Ciovo.

The historical part of Trogir impresses with a unique set of palaces, temples, towers and ancient buildings, and the streets of the "old city" interwoven into a maze make Trogir unlike any other city on the Croatian coast.

Day 5. Wednesday

We wake up early and keep our way to Kornati. The beautiful archipelago of 89 islands and reefs delights everyone who visited it, or (so far) has the opportunity to get to know it only from photographs.
We are, of course, talking about the Kornati National Park, which is located between Sibeska and the Zarara Riviera. Amazing appearance and exceptional natural wealth are the reason that most of the archipelago since 1980 has been protected within the national park. Irish writer George Bernard Shaw once very poetically described this archipelago: "On the last day of Creation, God wished to crown his work and created Kornates from tears, stars and breath."

Day 6. Thursday

Skradin. Yachting on this day is interesting for maneuvering between the islands, passing along the Krka river between the rocks and under bridges.

Parking in the marina Skradina.

Skradin is an amazing place that becomes one of the favorite for every yachtsman who has been there. Swans in the marina, a picturesque bay, cobbled streets of the city, cozy restaurants and cafes, “House in the house” is the tourist pride of the town. You should definitely take a walk around Skradin in the evening, after sunset, a fabulous atmosphere reigns here.

Day 7. Friday

Exit at 10.00. Transition on a yacht Skrabin - Sibenek.

On the way there is an anchor stop for lunch and swimming.

In the evening - a walk around the city. Shared dinner at one of the city's restaurants.

A unique atmosphere reigns here - the fiery red tiled roofs of ancient houses on winding streets are interspersed with many boutiques, cafes and taverns where you can taste the famous Croatian wines.

Day 8. Saturday

In the morning we leave the catamaran and get ready for new adventures!

The route may be changed due to weather conditions and the wishes of the crew.
