Rome since its founding was also a sea power. So, the first port was founded in the seventh century BC at the mouth of the Tiber River in the town of Ostia. And already in the third century BC, he became a real military and commercial center, linking Rome with the whole Mediterranean. At the beginning of the second millennium, Rome needed a new, large port and, on the orders of Emperor Trajan, it was built not far from his villa. The port was later named Civitavecchia - the Ancient City - and since then has reliably served as the sea gate of Rome.
Today it is a modern and successful port city, where many ships and ferries arrive daily and one of the most famous cruise ports in the world.
You have the opportunity to spend an exciting weekend in Rome and combine learning the basics of yachting with relaxation in the ancient city.

Events schedule
Arrival Check-in on a yacht, getting to know a yacht. (About 15 minutes from the airport by taxi).
Excursion program: acquaintance with the city, purchase of products on board. Team dinner.
In the program: history of the sail, stories from the captain: watch a movie about yachting, diving on Wednesday.
Breakfast on the yacht.
Preparation of the yacht for the launch with the study of theory, work with navigation programs and analysis of weather forecasts, theory and practice.
Sailing practice. Lunch on the water. Strengthening the practical skills of yacht management.
Return to marina. Team dinner. Evening walk around the city with sightseeing.
Visit: Panthenon, Colosseum, Trevi Fountain.
