Norwegian route. Bergen - Stavanger

A combined route visiting Bergen and Stavanger, and climbing the Trolltunga. Great fishing, crab hunting, outdoor picnics with freshly caught mussels and scallops are waiting for you! And on one of the islands of our route, according to the legend of local residents, a UFO landed

The word Norway is translated as "Way to the North" or "Northern Way". Towns and villages are scattered along the rocky shores, each with its own "character." And each one is filled with many small details that emphasize the identity of the settlement and tell its story. Norwegians often paint eyes on trees and rocks, bringing fantasy to their small world, surrounded by big water and blown by a salty wind. Fishing nets, horns and axes have long become attributes of Scandinavian life. The original architecture blends harmoniously with the carefully preserved natural splendor.

    Bergen.

Bergen is a great place for active vacation. Here, there is the famous Trollhaugen manor ("Troll Hill"), where the masterpieces of Edward Grieg were born. There is a large open-air fish market on the waterfront. Next to the market there is the Bryygen wooden district, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The medieval fortress Bergenhus is one of the oldest forts in Norway. And this is just a small part of the most interesting places in this amazing city! With the onset of darkness, the sea surface and the endless sky merge into one, Bergen blazes with neon lights, opening the doors to the modern Norwegian fairy tale.

    Bergen - Bekkjarvik

Bekkjärvik is a very white city. White daisies, white dogs, white yachts and white houses are mirrored in the surface of clear water, enhancing the color at least twice. The city has a large shopping center, a cozy white church, an art gallery, a restaurant and even a shipyard, so after the small Norwegian towns it seems just huge. Which, however, is quite far from the truth. Here you can go out literally for a minute - to a cafe or a monument to a Norwegian woman, and as a result, you can walk through the forest all evening, wander slowly through the city streets, chat with friendly locals, climb the unyielding mountains and watch the sunset.

    Bekkjarvik - Rosendal

Today we will visit another small town located in a very picturesque fjord. Rosendal greets us with bright colors - the name of the city literally translates as "valley of roses". We will go to see the famous rose garden in the Rosendal estate - the only surviving barony in Norway. Ludwig Rosencrantz and Karen Mowatt received the estate as a wedding present in 1658. Later, a garden was planted around the estate in the best traditions of the Renaissance, and a magnificent rose garden became its pearl. Even among the harsh Norwegian landscapes, there is room for romance!

    A hike to Troll Tunga.

Rosendal is very cozy, very hilly and very green, as if painted with flowers and small cozy houses. But today we will climb Trolltunga, which means “the tongue of the troll”. This is perhaps the most famous natural attraction in Norway and we simply cannot miss it! Locals claim that the horizontally protruding cliff is the tongue of one of the trolls who inhabited these wild lands many centuries ago. The trail to it, even in the summer months, is covered with ice and snow. The path will be difficult, so be patient and wear good shoes. But the result is definitely worth the effort! Silence and tranquility stretch for many kilometers around, enveloping the pristine nature.

    Rosendal - Espevær

We will sail north from Haugesund to the cute town of Espivaer. It is known to the world as a UFO landing site. Local residents claim that they do not know anything about the origin of the circle, which greatly intrigues visitors. A very picturesque path leads to the UFO ring. On the way, we will discover all the natural beauty of this island. We'll have a picnic to enjoy fresh mussels and crabs in the Norwegian landscape.

    Espevær - Røvær

Today we will go to a small but very hospitable island. The official population of Rovers is only 100 people. There are several smaller islets adjacent to the island, which can only be reached by boat. It is hard to believe that sailors once considered this harbor the best in Norway. During the season, the herring poured from the fishing nets in a dense silver stream. Now, herring fishers have given way to salmon farms, and the island is perfect for a relaxed holiday.
