We start our trip on the island of Gran Canaria.
Gran Canaria is famous for its diverse nature - from tropical vegetation to rocky mountains and sandy beaches. The island's capital, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, is one of the largest ports in the Atlantic Ocean.
There are many interesting natural attractions in Gran Canaria. One of the most beautiful places is the dunes of Maspalomas. This sandy area on the ocean covers an area of more than 400 hectares. Maspalomas Dunes have been declared a nature reserve.
One of the most unusual natural attractions of the island is Roque Nublo. It is a rock in the very center of the island 60 meters high. The rock resembles an index finger and many interesting legends are associated with it. It’s worth climbing the rock to enjoy the wonderful view.
We are going to sail to the Tenerife island
Tenerife is the largest island of the Canary Islands. The famous Teide volcano and the popular beach resort of Los Gigantes are situated in Tenerife. Here you can visit the Loro Park and see not only the penguins, but also killer whales.
Santa Cruz de Tenerife is the capital of Tenerife. Santa Cruz is a large city with many interesting places and attractions. You must visit Plaza de Espana located on the site of the castle of San Cristobal. If you love greenery you can go for a walk in one of the parks: Garcia Sanabria, La Granja or Palmetum. All of them are interesting in their own way and worthy of attention. Santa Cruz is a home to one of the main attractions of the Canary Islands — the Auditorio de Tenerife Concert Hall built by Santiago Calatrava in 2003. The concert hall is considered one of the most significant works of modern architecture.
After we sail to Tenerife and celebrate the New Year there we will come back to the island of Gran Canaria.
We will visit the two most famous islands of the Canary Archipelago - Gran Canaria and Tenerife. We will enjoy the beautiful nature and celebrate the New Year on these islands of eternal spring.
