YACHTMASTER COASTAL / OFFSHORE IYT ONLINE COURSE

The course is focused on skippers who:

• have experience of independent exits;
• Spent a total of at least 25 days at sea
• can confirm 800 miles (logbook), incl. more than 12 hours of night transitions for the Coastal category / 1200 miles incl. more than 24 hours of night transitions for the Offshore category

You will receive serious theoretical training. We will control attendance, conduct intermediate testing.

As part of the Yachtmaster Coastal / Offshore IYT Theoretical Course, the focus is on the following sections / tasks:

• International Maritime Incident Prevention System (COLREGS).
• Navigation charts and publications.
• Calculating and determining the actual location.
• Tides and currents, tidal navigation.
• Ship escort (navigational tasks).
• Conversion Planning.
• Work with rigging.
• Yacht management.
• Anchor procedures.
• Docking.
• Safety at sea.
• Meteorology.

After passing the theoretical course and successfully passing the final tests, it is mandatory to undergo practical training in the amount of an 8-9 day course at sea, on board a yacht with practicing practical skills.

Training materials are not included in the price of the course and are purchased by students on their own.
