Sailing training on the Sea of Azov

The week of sailing training on the Sea of Azov is a steady wind, the sun, as in California, and the ideal format for exploring sailing culture. You go for 6 days to the capital of the wind - the city of Yeysk, live on the beach and practice sailing trimaran every day, and also go on a yacht to beautiful places and a nature reserve.

In our sailing camp, you will learn how to set up sails, steer a yacht, understand all the necessary theory, perform basic maneuvers and understand how to develop further in the sailing world. The basis of our training is practice at sea under the guidance of an experienced instructor and racer. With the acquired skills, you can go to the school of captains and go sailing training to Oreshka and Strogino all season.

Why the Sea of Azov?

- The budget way to try yachting

Classes in Yeysk on the Sea of Azov are the most budgetary way to try sailing and go on a yacht. A week of adventure and intense training awaits you under the guidance of an experienced instructor.

- Unique wind conditions

Yeysk is called the “windsurfing mecca”: every day there are breeze winds that always allow you to train and help you quickly understand the settings and control of a sailing ship even for those who first got on a yacht. Remember to bring a windbreaker with you.

- Sailing inland

We are used to thinking that yachting is always something abroad and very expensive. But we successfully travel to the Azov and White Seas, to Kamchatka. Let's travel inland and try something new.

You are waiting for six full days of training in the waters of the Sea of Azov. Every day we will meet at the pier about 10 in the morning and start with a small block of theory and safety. Then we will go to sea in a trimaran until the evening. Let's see the Yeisk Spit, Bird Island and go out into the open sea.

Instructor - Alexander Tsukanov. Alexander is an experienced racer, captain and engineer with a sailing experience of more than 30 years. Participated in major Russian regattas. The trimaran on which our trainings take place, Alexander completely assembled with his own hands and knows the device of every detail.

How to get to Yeysk

Trains run steadily to Yeysk; there is no airport in the city. The easiest way to fly to Rostov-on-Don, and from there in three hours to get by bus. You can buy a bus ticket in advance at the ticket office of the main bus station. Classes begin on Monday at 10 am, so it is better to come to Yeysk on Sunday.

Where to live and where classes are held

Every morning we will begin classes at the pier located at the Novinka Hotel (1A Beach Street). In general, logistic to settle in it is quite convenient. You can call there by the number +7 (861) 323-53-48. Nearby there are several more good places to live: guesthouse Yeisk Wind, Babylon Hotel. The cheapest will be to rent housing in the private sector - which is also very close to the pier. Yeysk is full of sites on which it is easy to find inexpensive housing. Prices are quite low - you can rent a room from 700 rubles per day.

During the week of training in Yeysk, you will learn to understand all the basics of yachting theory, learn how to use the map and direction finders, be able to confidently keep the boat on course and perform basic maneuvers, set to remove and adjust the sails, make friends with the mainsail, staysail and even gennaker, and also bring home baggage of impressions that can be shared with friends for a long time.
