Unusual experience - following the gateways of Svir.
The main attraction of this trip is Kizhi.
A trip to Kizhi is not so much a visit to the museum as a complete immersion in a bygone era. Every day begins and ends with a bell ringing. There are many bells, and each has its own story and its own unique sound. The largest bell weighing 800 kg was cast in the 19th century. The ringers ensemble daily fills the island with magical bell music.
Anyone can get acquainted with the life of bygone time, try their hand at folk crafts and see how master woodcarvers create real works of art from an ordinary aspen bar.
Kizhi is open to anyone who is not afraid to touch its unusual beauty. The island continues to transform, annually replenished with new historical monuments and interesting buildings.

from €472 / 8 days / 1pers.
In size, Kizhi is small: it is only a kilometer wide and about 5 km long. Nevertheless, it was here that the Kizhi Pogost was built - a complex of two churches and bell towers. An important territorial unit with administrative and social significance was called a churchyard in Russia, because there were many villages and villages, and there were much fewer churches. Not many classical wooden churches have survived to our time, but during the construction of the Kizhi Pogost, skills and knowledge were used that strengthened the skillfully crafted tree and gave it a particularly long life. In 1966, Kizhi received the status of an architectural and historical open-air museum.

We will start in Lodeynoye Pole, go through Svir through several gateways, visit Ascension, Priozersk, Kizhi and end the trek in the village of Povenets at the entrance to the Belomor-Onega Canal.
