Practice Day Skipper + Around Long Island Race in Croatia

Croatia is a paradise for sailing enthusiasts! It has comfortable, well-equipped marinas, interesting regattas are constantly held for yachtsmen of different levels of training, many attractions, delicious cuisine, warm and clear sea and good weather. Here you can also learn skipper skills and visit the world famous yacht exhibition.
All this we want to offer you in our unique offer! You will visit the Biograd Boat Show, take the Day Skipper practical course and take part in a real Long Island Race regatta under the guidance of an experienced skipper.

Training format.

During the course you will receive practical sailing yacht management skills necessary for independent day sailing. One day you will remain in the position of captain: you will plan a day's transition, conduct training, manage the team. You will refresh theoretical tasks, prepare for the exams, and if you pass the exams successfully, you will receive a Category B revision, which gives you the right to control a yacht up to 30 gross tons (about 60 feet).

Croatian rights also include a VHF (radio) certificate, you do not need to receive it separately.

Croatian national rights are issued by state bodies and accepted around the world, which has been repeatedly verified by our graduates.

You will learn:

• Acceptance of the boat, safety precautions.
• Security and emergency analysis.
• Man overboard.
• Sails, settings and controls of a sailing yacht.
• Mooring in a marina, on a buoy, on an anchor.
• Sailing maneuvers.
• Night navigation and VHF radio

Training Stages:

1. To practice, you may not have experience managing a yacht, but to successfully pass the exams, it will be necessary to prepare theoretically. Materials in Russian will be sent to you free of charge 3 months before the start of the course. The course is based on the materials of the RYA school. There will also be full-time training for residents of St. Petersburg and correspondence / on-line for residents of other cities.
2. Directly practical course in Croatia according to the program.
3. An exam at the end of a practical course in the Croatian captain’s area and upon successful completion of the course, obtaining category B rights, which give the right to operate a yacht up to 30 gross tons (about 60 feet).

Regatta Long Island Race.

The regatta is held by the KON TIKI yacht club 4 times. This is one of the most interesting races in Croatia. The regatta itself consists of one race, 130 nautical miles long, the route of which passes through the territory of the Kornati National Park. Hundreds of islands and cliffs, narrow straits and the open sea - everything is in this interesting race.

The wind, adrenaline, the desire for victory and the most beautiful landscapes around - such a competition will definitely be remembered by all lovers of sports and nature.
