About the event

The course for those who spent 10 days at sea as an active member of the crew, has traveled more than 200 miles and wants to go to sea on their own as a skipper.

7 days practical course BAREBOAT SKIPPER IYT on a GAGARIN yacht!

Get real hands-on experience with the instructor Alexei Moskvin as part of the 100CAPTAINS Bareboat Skipper IYT practical course and get your skipper license!

The practice starts and ends in Antibes (France). A great chance to get trained and get a skipper license.

The total number of nautical miles traveled during the event is 150.

The practical course includes obtaining the following skills and knowledge:

  • day and night yacht management;
  • organization of relationships in the crew; preparation for going to sea, checking the main systems and safety equipment (safety briefing);
  • gaining experience of night crossings;
  • obtaining and practical analysis of weather forecasts, planning of crossings taking into account the information received;
  • water rescue;
  • storm technique;
  • mooring with log, bow and stern; entry and mooring in unfamiliar harbors, "wild" stops; anchoring.

    What the price covers

    The price includes: - skipper services; - accommodation on a yacht; - training program; - moorings in marinas along the route. There will be additional expenses: - cleaning the yacht at the end of the practice; - meals on board; - transfers to the marina; - airplane tickets; - visas; - fuel; - the license of the IYT skipper / VHF operator - 200 euros. The recommended arrival / departure airport is Rome (Italy).
