Dubai to Muscat Race 2026

The race will start this year on January 31, 2026. The first edition of the race was held in 1992.

Distance: 360 nautical miles
Route: from the shallow waters of the Persian Gulf to the deep waters of the Indian Ocean, passing through the famous Strait of Hormuz. The final stage runs along the southeast route through the bay to Muscat, the capital of the Sultanate of Oman.

The race is organized by the UAE Sailing and Rowing Federation (UAE SARF) and the Dubai Offshore Sailing Club (DOSC), in cooperation with the Oman Marine Sports Committee.

Race program (6–7 days):

• 2 days in Dubai: team training
• 2–3 days: the race itself
• 1 day in Muscat: rest and finish

Team: 8 participants, watches of 4 people, the race runs 24/7.

Yacht: RP36 with a carbon bowsprit, carbon spinnaker, modern sail wardrobe, and 3DI sails from North Sails.
Accommodation on the yacht is possible during the race.
