Transatlantic Transition Stage 1
Crossing the Atlantic is a real adventure and challenge for the enthusiastic yachtsman.
The 2900 nm length transition takes place in two stages: the first stage starts in Las Palmas (Gran Canaria Island) with an intermediate stop on Cape Verde (San Vicenti Island). The second stage starts with Cape Verde, with a stop on the island of Barbados and a finish on St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

The crossing starts Las Palmas de Gran Canaria - surrounded on both sides by harbors with the peerless beaches of the capital of the Canary Islands. Founded in an era of great geographical discoveries, over the course of several centuries this city has become a multinational and noisy port, gathering people from all over the world. The history is sacredly preserved by the ancient quarters inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List - Vegeta and Triana.
Passing 865 worldly miles, we arrive in Cape Verde, the island of San Vicente. Here we replenish stocks of food and water, gain strength to go on an even longer transition. San Vicenti is a wonderful resort island of volcanic origin, which has become world famous as the birthplace of the great singer Cesaria Evora. Here you can end your journey, or continue it with us. At this stage, you can also join us in order to pursue a further path together.
Location
We start in the city of Las Palmas on the island of Gran Canaria and finish the transition to Cape Verde, the island of Vicente.
