Igor Matviyenko

Started sailing in 1984 in Dnepropetrovsk. Gradually, a passion grew into daily work and was completed with serious achievements in sports. In 1990, Igor joined the USSR national team in class 470. In 1991, he became the winner of the Spartakiad of the Peoples of the USSR. Since 1992, he repeatedly won the international regattas and championships in the 470 class. Igor won all the top titles in the sports - the gold of the European, World and Olympic Games. He was working in a crew with E. Braslavets, and was led by a great mentor - the legendary sailing coach V. Kovalenko.
Coached national and Olympic teams of Ukraine and Russia in various classes. He competed in numerous world-class racing projects in Dragon, Transpac52, SB20, Melges20 classes. Igor repeatedly won prizes in international competitions as part of various professional and amateur teams.
