J/80

J / 80 is a fairly large yacht, suitable for sailing and racing in the open water areas and bays. This sports class of yachts has high stability due to the very high proportion of lead ballast in the displacement of the yacht - almost 50%. The yacht’s power ratio is also quite high thanks to a rather large sail area (especially with the spinnaker installed) - that is why the J / 80 are so fast.

It is very sensitive on and is capable of catching the slightest gusts in a weak wind, and in the strong wind it can sail almost at the speed of the wind itself.
