The French shipyard Dufour Yachts was founded in 1964 in La Rochelle, France, by Michel Dufour, a marine engineer and passionate sailing enthusiast, and owes it his worldwide success. Dufour was convinced that new technologies and materials would transform sailing. But sailing - in the past, present and in the future - is always dependent on fortitude and competent leadership - this is exactly what Michel Dufour brought with him, and this is exactly what makes Dufour Yachts the foundation.

The ideas of the founder are continued today by the Dufour Yachts team - dreamers, inventors, creators. Their goal is nothing but to guide sailing to new heights, optimizing the basic principles of design, performance and comfort.
