Helmsmen course according to the standards of the Russian Yachting Federation
The program is designed for those who plan to charter a yacht, travel, or participate in regattas.
The course duration is 10 theoretical lessons (30 hours) and 10 practical lessons (20 hours). The practical classes can be taken in Moscow and Sochi.
After successfully passing the exams, the student receives a skipper's license from the Russian Yachting Federation, which allows him to charter a yacht in the most popular yachting destinations such as Montenegro and Turkey.
The course program includes:
- Marine terminology
- Rigging
- Sail and yacht management
- Sails and handling
- Yacht maneuvers, mooring
- Onboard safety and rescue equipment
- The basics of traffic rules in the sea
- Nautical charts and compass
- Maritime traditions, customs and etiquette
