Canaries, 3 islands in 10 days: Tenerife — La Gomera — La Palma — Tenerife. 240 nm

We are planning to visit three islands of the archipelago in ten days. During the crossings, we will have a lot of practice in managing a yacht and sails. You will see the Atlantic, feel the waves and wind, and maybe meet whales and dolphins. There will be sun, beaches and swimming in the ocean. We will see magnificent islands, cliffs, and mountain peaks towering above the ocean. We know the secrets of tuna fishing in these waters, so fishing is part of our plans.

We will arrive in Tenerife, San Miguel marina

This Spanish island has lots of attractions, and among them, there are ancient buildings, modern cultural centers, and nature reserves of amazing beauty. The visiting card of the resort is the Teide volcano. This name can be translated as "snow mountain", as the first settlers nicknamed it for the unique view of the snowy peaks of Teide. In the foothill area, there is the National Park of Las Cañadas del Teide. The landscape will remind you of the movies about the Moon: the same weathered rocks and streams of frozen lava. Only amazing plants give the terrain some “earthly” look.

The crossing to the island of Gran Canaria in Puerto de Morgan - it is a very colorful town built in the traditional Andalusian style.

The island of Gran Canaria is the most popular of the islands of the Canary Archipelago and is located in its southern part. Gran Canaria with its rather small territory has a wide variety of landscapes.

The islands have many interesting natural monuments, one of the most unusual ones is the Roque Nublo. This is the rock located in the very center of the island, its height is about 60 meters.

One of the most beautiful places on the island is the dunes of Maspalomas. These sand dunes are located off the coast of the ocean and look incredibly beautiful. Nearby there is another interesting object - Maspalomas Lighthouse. This lighthouse was built in 1861, however, it was not used for its intended purpose until 30 years later. The historic lighthouse is operational, and in recent years it has become a popular tourist attraction. One of the most mysterious sights of the island is the Guanche caves, hundreds of years ago they served as home to one of the most mysterious peoples on earth.

    Sailing to La Gomera island

La Gomera is the pearl of the archipelago. Black volcanic sand beaches, eucalyptus forests, magnificent views of neighboring islands, gorges and valleys are waiting for us. During a trip around the island, we will often stop at the observation spaces "miradors", trying to capture the beauty of the surrounding nature with our cameras. The marina where we will stay is located in the town of San Sebastian. This is a quiet, cozy town, famous for the fact that Columbus stayed here before heading to the shores of India. Here, there is the church where he prayed and the house where his beloved lived.
