Caribbean: from Martinique to Tobago Case and back

The Caribbean does not need to be introduced - legendary pirate places!

This is an archipelago of the largest of the small islands, where it is always sunny and warm, rich nature - mountains, palm trees, tropical and mangrove forests, amazingly beautiful sandy beaches ... Very rich sea - corals, lots of fish, sea turtles, crabs, lobsters and others outlandish (and often tasty) marine life. Not surprisingly, this paradise attracts many tourists.

Let's go on the chic sailing catamaran Lagoon 380 (4 double cabins). Catamaran is a comfortable house on the water! It shakes much weaker than a yacht, and there is more space, so we will travel with comfort.

Total route: ~ 254 nautical miles.

  • Start at 8 in the morning. Martinique - Rodney Bay (St. Lucia). ~ 22 nautical miles (4 hours).

The island of St. Lucia is of volcanic origin, and therefore more mountainous than most other islands of the Caribbean. The entire mountain range, from north to south, stretches the central mountain range of Barr de L'Ile Ridge with heights from 400 to 900 m, reaching the highest altitude on Mount Jimi (950 m) and in the volcanic massif Python (Gros- Python - 797 m, Petit Python - 750 m, Morn-Bonin - 640 m) in the south-west. Traces of active volcanic activity are found in abundance in the same area - hot sulfur springs, eroded lava fields, gas outlets, sulfur deposits. About 400 species of plants grow on the island.

The capital city, Kingstown, is very beautiful and ideal for hiking. St. Mary's Cathedral is interesting: built from dark volcanic blocks, it is an amazing combination of Gothic, Moorish and Romanesque styles.

  • St. Vincent - Bequia (Friendship bay). ~ 20 nautical miles (4 hours).

Location

The route can be changed or supplemented, depending on weather conditions (primarily waves and wind) and the wishes of the team. This is one of the advantages of yachting! We want, we will make transitions shorter, we will want it - more authentically and most of all we will see. If desired, we can make one or more night transitions. We will begin our journey on the island of Martinique and see other islands of the Caribbean - Saint-Sincent, Bequia, Saint Lucia, Union Island and others
