MIRW Marmaris International Race Week 2021
The regatta will take place in the picturesque bay of the city of Marmaris. MIRW is the brightest event of the season, and 100-150 yachts participate in it annually. This is a large number of participants, which means that the competition will be intense and exciting!
Yachts of three categories can participate in the regatta: from 7 to 12 meters, from 12 to 15 meters and over 15 meters.
Of course, the main goal of everyone who comes here is to compete and achieve certain results in their category. Every evening, the winners of the race day are awarded. But in addition, attending the regatta is a great opportunity to spend time with like-minded people from different countries who are in love with sails just like you. Both beginners and experienced yachtsmen can participate in the regatta. On our platform, you can choose a team that will suit your interests, level of preparation and even age. This will be the team where you will have the greatest chance to succeed in this regatta.

Online registration for the Marmaris International Race Week regatta.
This regatta in the picturesque bay of the city of Marmaris in the Mediterranean Sea annually gathers up to 150 crews.
Registration at the office of Marmaris International Race Week - from 9.30 to 12.00
Submission of documents for the regatta - 16.00 - 16.30
Briefing for skippers - 17.30-18.30
The opening party - 19.30 -21.00
Before the regatta, you will have a great opportunity to get to know your future rivals, as well as to unite more with your crew.
"NETSEL MARINA DAY"
Regatta 1 and 2
Dinner and Awards Ceremony - 20.00 -24.00
In the first three days, two regattas will be held with different judges, in which different crews will take part.
Also during the day, you can get acquainted with Netsel Marina. Marina Netsel is located in Marmaris, which is famous for its natural attractions. You will be fascinated by the unique color of crystal clear water here.

Party and Awards Ceremony - 20.00 - 24.00
Congratulate your rivals, and perhaps get the reward yourself! An evening spent in a circle of like-minded people - what could be better!
"SETUR MARINAS DAY"
Regatta 5 and 6
Dinner and Awards Ceremony - 20.00 -24.00
This day is dedicated to Setur Marina. Setur Marina is a network of marinas on the Turkish coast. In total, the network includes 10 marinas and you will see one of the most beautiful of them - the marina in Marmaris.
Regatta 7 - COASTAL COURSE
The yachts will participate in the regatta along the coast.
"ERGO DAY"
Regatta 8 - MIYC CLASSICAL COURSE
Final dinner and award ceremony - 20.00 - 24.00
On the last day of the regatta, all crews will sail along the classic route of Marmaris International Race Week. In the evening, you will participate in the final, most exciting awards ceremony and farewell banquet.
Location
Races will be held in Marmaris Bay and in Fethiye Bay. Yachts of different classes will compete in two separate areas, within and outside Marmaris Bay. The schedule is approximate
FAQ
Can I participate in a regatta if I don’t have yachting experience?
Yes, of course. There will be an experienced skipper and team members on the yacht. They will give you a role and teach you everything you need to know to be a useful team member and feel comfortable.
Will I be able to steer a yacht?
Yes, all team members will definitely try themselves in different roles to better understand each other. Standing at the helm is an integral part of training for beginners as well as setting sails, and helping the team during moorings.
Where will I live during the regatta?
As a rule, participants in the regatta live on the yacht. The boat has everything you need for a comfortable stay: nice beds, a kitchen, a shower with toilet. If you do not want to live on a yacht, then you can arrange to stay at the hotel onshore.
What will we eat?
The crew decides altogether what kind of food they prefer to eat and makes necessary purchases. Simple dishes can be cooked, usually taking turns. Some regattas offer daily meals and intensive evening program for all crews.
Do you help with a visa?
We can make an invitation for a visa, but you need to apply for a visa by yourself.
Will I have seasick? What should I do if I have sickness?
Most people tolerate some seasickness easily. If you feel that you are starting to feel sick, it is best to get at the steering wheel or tune the sails. Get yourself busy, show your body that you don’t have time to get sick, you have to fight for victory in the race. There are also many quite effective medicines from sickness. If you start taking them in advance, then the probability of seasickness is almost zero.
How and where will I meet the crew and the captain?
Before each trip, we organize an online meeting where participants get to know each other and the captain. The captain will answer all your questions. The crew will have a group chat so you can get to know each other before the start of the regatta. Then you will meet in the marina.
What clothes do I need?
The main rule is to dress comfortably and according to the weather. Clothing: • windbreaker and pants or shorts; • shirt/jacket with UV protection (thermal underwear and fleece); • adjustable hat/cap; • gloves. We recommend to purchase a long-sleeved jacket with UV protection in order to protect yourself from the sun and strong wind. Yachting shoes should be: • light, with non-slip white outsole; • with the fixed heel; • with a tightly closed nose. During the sailing without shoes, you can fall or injure your fingers and feet on the deck. There are many protruding parts on the boat that are easy to catch. Unfortunately, even experienced sailors are not protected from unpleasant injuries when they ignore this simple rule.
