Practice and Mastery of Mooring Maneuvers (3 hours)

Mooring is one of the most important and responsible skills in boat handling. It is in marinas that damage to vessels most often occurs: collisions with the dock and neighboring boats, scratches, and breakages — and in most cases, the cause lies in mistakes made during mooring.

During this practical session, under real conditions and with the guidance of an instructor, you will practice the main types of mooring maneuvers. Over the course of 3 hours, you will learn to confidently maneuver at low speeds, take wind, current, and the boat’s inertia into account, work effectively with the crew, and remain calm even in the confined space of a marina.

The lesson is suitable for both beginners and experienced skippers who want to eliminate uncertainty and bring their skills to an automatic level. Confident mooring means safety for the boat and crew — and peace of mind in every marina.
