Start:Palermo, Province of Palermo, Italy
Finish:Monte Carlo, Monaco-Ville, Monaco
The Palermo Monte Carlo Regatta is a 500-mile offshore race in the Mediterranean held annually under the patronage of the Prince of Monaco Alberta.
The race involves owners of yachts from 50-100 feet, located territorially at that moment on the Cote d'Azur, on about. Sardinia, Fr. Corsica and in Italy.
The regatta is interesting for its tactical maneuvers with the rounding of the islands of Sardinia and Corsica. Typically, the fleet is divided into two groups, part goes around the Corsica from the north, the other goes to the Strait of Bonifacio (between Sardinia and Corsica). Traditionally, the struggle between the two fleet groups develops according to an unpredictable scenario until the very finish!
Russian participants in the races mark the Palermo - Monte Carlo regatta as an excellent opportunity for tactical and navigational practice and for conducting high-quality corporate team building.
