Finish:Petropavlovsk-Kamchatskiy, Kamchatka Krai, Russia
To see many cool places, in Kamchatka, it is better to combine the ocean and land, so our expedition consists of two parts: we will see killer whales and sea lions, we will look for whales and land in small bays, fish and ride a SUP board, and then we will return ashore and climb an active volcano.
The journey will last eight days with the start and finish in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. Direct flights fly from Moscow, transfer to the catamaran is included in the price, check-in on the catamaran on Sunday.
- Beautiful nature
Kamchatka is unique. There are 29 active volcanoes, and each, when erupting, slightly changes the landscape. There are glaciers and geysers, animals that you won't find elsewhere, crabs, salmon and other fish.
- Seeing Kamchatka from a different angle
The usual way to get around Kamchatka is an all-terrain vehicle. There are few roads and many places that can be reached only by water. On a catamaran, we can reach the most beautiful places.
-Looking for whales
In summer, Kamchatka whales swim close to the surface. They are shy and often go deeper after hearing the sounds of the engine. If we're lucky, we'll try to find the whales and get closer to them under sail.

There are two active volcanoes near Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky - the Koryakskaya and Avachinskaya hills. They make the city panorama alien. You can walk along the promenade of Avacha Bay, climb Nikolskaya Sopka and watch the sunset, or drop by the market for fresh seafood and go to sleep after the flight.

A walk around the city
RUSSIAN BAY AND CAPE KEKURNY
We will leave Avacha Bay early in the morning, a new view of the city and of the Three Brothers will open from the deck - the rocks that protect the bay from the tsunami, according to local legend. On the way to the Russian Bay, we will look for whales and killer whales.
The bay has a very special fauna. Here and in the surrounding area, you can meet sea lions, seals, and many different birds. We'll definitely get closer to observe the animals from a safe distance and take a bunch of cool photos. Here we can arrange sea fishing or go kayaking and SUP board, getting even closer to sea lions and seals.
On the shore of the bay, there is a lake of the same name - Listvenichnoye. There is a narrow spit between the lake and the bay. The bay is surrounded by rocky cliffs, which are easy to climb: the view is breathtaking.
Listvenichnoye lake is spawning. If spawning is already in full swing, we will be able to see millions of fish in the clear lake water.
Cape Zeleny crashes into the waves of the ocean with a narrow ledge and is covered with really bright greenery. At the end of the cape, there is a lighthouse, at the top of which there is an observation deck.
The cape has not only a fantastic landscape but also a base of biologists from the FEROP (Far East Russian Orca Project). If possible, we will certainly drop by to visit them for a lecture.
We will return to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, check into the Bay House guest house, and explore the city.
The Bay House is located on the shores of Avacha Bay. Walk to the city center will take no more than 15-20 minutes, the same distance is to the nearest fish market. The house also has a cozy sauna overlooking the ocean.
PETROPAVLOVSK-KAMCHATSKY - MUTNOVSKY VOLCANO
Mutnovsky is one of the most beautiful volcanoes in the south of Kamchatka. Here you can see the Martian landscape - sulfur fields, everything is smoking, sulfur fumaroles hiss, and in one of the craters there is a lake of pure turquoise color.
To climb Mutnovsky, no special training is needed - comfortable sports shoes and a willingness to walk 6 kilometers are enough. We have planned simple trekking, and then we will descend to one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Kamchatka, which is located in the Opasny canyon.
To the foot of the Avachinsky volcano, the road from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky takes about two hours and passes along a dry bed of a mountain river. The absolute height above sea level is 1200 m, the width is about 100 m, the length is 500 m.
During the walk, we will see alien cinder fields, observing volcanic rocks. It's easy trekking and doesn't require any special training. We will conquer the top of Mount Camel: in clear weather, beautiful panoramic views of the city, Avachinskaya Bay and Vilyuchinsky Volcano open up from there. And in the evening we will return to the city - we will share our impressions and have some rest before going home.
The end of the expedition is the next morning. Before leaving for the airport, we will drive through the local fish market to buy fresh caviar, salmon, and king crab.
