Russian sailing week Volvo 2019
Twice a year, in May and October, Volvo's Russian Sailing Week raises sails off the shores of the Mediterranean Sea. Twice a year, teams challenge stereotypes about yachting as an inaccessible and expensive pleasure for the elite, inspiring newcomers to sail and discover the world of vivid impressions, genuine emotions and lively communication.
Thanks to the mild climate of the Mediterranean, excellent yacht infrastructure and a modern fleet, Russian Sailing Week Volvo is held from year to year at the proper level of comfort and safety. The regatta route and the competition schedule are calculated so that the boats moor daily in a new picturesque bay, where there are interesting sights and certainly a good restaurant.
Autumn regatta will be held in 2019 from October 19 to 26.

Events schedule
9:00 - 18:00 - Gathering of participants in the Fethiye ECE Marina
Crew registration. Acceptance and registration of yachts and preparation of yachts for the regatta. Each crew will receive numbers, flags and banners and will be able to design their yacht in the best possible way.
Also, on the day of collection, you will have the opportunity to purchase the necessary supplies in the city of Fethiye to be ready for the competition not only mentally, but also physically.
You will undergo safety training and will be able to make a training trip to the sea. This is a great opportunity to try the waters of the Mediterranean Sea, to rally with your teammates, with whom you have to spend some hard, but very busy days.
At the end of the day, you will have dinner at the ECE Saray marina restaurant from 20.00 and the main event is the official opening of the XXVI Russian Sailing Regatta Volvo. During the opening, there will be a drawing of racing numbers and a disco - your opportunity to relax, because from tomorrow you will have the excitement of competition.

On the first day of the regatta, you will follow the route from Fethiye to Kuchuk Sarsala Bay, where you will have dinner in a restaurant. If you have never tried a lamb cooked in an oven, you will have such an opportunity. After a busy day aboard your yacht, go down to the shore and take a stroll along the beautiful bay. And in the restaurant Kuchuk Sarsala, you will have dinner by the fireplace with relaxing blues music. Well, those who are still full of strength and energy are waiting for our famous disco.

On this day, a triangular race in Skopje Bay awaits you. At the end of the day, you will moor in the bay of Kapi Creek, which is one of the favorite places of our regatta. Right next to the restaurant, where dinner and honoring the winners are held, there are Greek ruins - an ideal place for lovers of antiquity. Here you will also be offered a massage after a hard competitive day. Well, if you did not have enough sea, welcome to the beautiful beach of Kapi Creek bay.

Another busy day is a route race around the islands in Skopje Bay with a mooring in Tomb Bay. Here you will find a welcoming indoor restaurant and a long-awaited shower! In the evening, after dinner and the winners of the day, the game will be held in the Mafia. You will learn to play the classic Mafia and feel like a true connoisseur of human psychology.

This is a competitive day with the largest offshore transition. The first group starts at 11.00, and the finish closes at 01.00. After a long day of competition, you will moor in the bay Ekenchik or My marina. Relax on the beach or enjoy a relaxing massage.

Today's offshore race will go to the Chiftlik Bay. Here you will spend the last night before the cult race in the Gulf of Marmaris. Gather strength, but do not forget about the cultural program, because you will have a busy evening - an unforgettable performance of crews and a disco of the 80s !.
The day everyone was waiting for! A cult triangle in Marmaris Bay! The last opportunity to declare yourself as a great yachtsman and fight for the victory together with your friendly crew. We are sure that by this day you have already become a close-knit team, ready for any difficulties.
Closing of the regatta will take place at Netsel Marina. During the gala dinner and the final award ceremony, a crystal cup will be awarded to the best team following the results of the entire regatta. An unforgettable evening in one of the most beautiful marinas of the Mediterranean - a great end to the competition week.

If you don’t stay at the next regatta - Marmaris International Race Week, then you can spend time in Marmaris, see the sights and buy souvenirs before flying home. If you stay, then from 10.00 preparation for the next regatta begins. In any case, you will have a great time and relax after an intense, but full of positive emotions race.
Location
For 6 days of regatta, you will pass from Fethiye Bay to Marmaris Bay, with sunset and overnight stays in the bays of Sarsala, Kapi Creek, Tomb Bay, Ekenchik, Chiftlik. Offshore triangles will be held in Skopje and Fethiye Bay. The regatta organizers selected the most beautiful bays and restaurants with the most delicious dishes for the participants. At each parking spot, you will have something to do after a busy race day.
