RYA YACHTMASTER OFFSHORE PREP

An extensive 2 week YM prep program or a shorter 1 week refresher course.

The first week of your course is spent consolidating your miles and skippered passages and familiarisation of the local area. During week 2 your instructor will hone your skills in navigation, close quarters handling under power and sail and ensuring your theory knowledge is up to speed.

The culmination of the 2 weeks is the examination by an RYA appointed independent Examiner. The exam will include an assessment of your skippering skills, boat handling, general seamanship, navigation, safety awareness and knowledge of the IRPCS, meteorology and signals.
