Yachtmaster Coastal theoretical course

20 hours of video lessons, 10 theoretical modules and 13 homework assignments.

Convenient format: watching lessons on a flexible schedule, whenever you have time.

Training plan: yacht handling, rigging, docking, anchor handling, International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea (COLREGS), pilotage (navigational tasks), safety at sea, tidal navigation and other modules.

Lectures alternate with solving practical problems. Follow-up tests are required to obtain a course completion certificate.

You will receive: video recordings of lectures, online meetings with feedback from the teacher, practice on real-life examples, find like-minded people and participate in an online regatta. The Yachtmaster Coastal IYT license entitles you to sail a sailing vessel up to 24 meters during the day and at night up to 60 nautical miles offshore.

To qualify as Yachtmaster Coastal after completing the theoretical course, you must complete a practical course at sea.
