In Cyprus, fishing takes place all year round. Here are the possible catches by month of the year:

January - February

Largemouth bass (sea bass) from 0.5 to 2kg.
Amberjack: young fish up to 3-5kg are possible at depth.
Mullet: 0.5-1kg, rarely up to 2kg.
Sea bream: 1-4 kg, but specimens up to 4 kg are possible.
Tuna: Single cases (up to 5 kg).
Squid: Peak season. Average size 0.5kg, sometimes large up to 1kg.

March - April

Barracuda: 1.5-7kg, more often 3-5kg.
Mullet: 0.5-1kg.
Squid: up to 0.5 kg.
Tuna: up to 10 kg.
Sea bream: 1-4 kg, more often 1-3 kg.
Sargan: 0.5-2 kg
Amberjack: 6-10 kg.

May

Barracuda: 4-15 kg, more often 6-10 kg.
Sea bream: 2-6 kg, more often 2-5 kg.
