We will be sailing from the United Sailing Week regatta along one of the most beautiful routes from Croatia to Italy. The team is 10 people.
We are planning to sail during the daytime as well as at night, depending on the weather conditions. This crossing is for those who want to test themselves at sea and add some miles to their logbooks. You will learn how to manage a sports yacht and feel what the difference is from managing a cruise yacht.
At this time of the year, the weather is sunny. On some days the wind can be up to 25-30 knots, sometimes it rains.

Itinerary
- Saturday
Arrival at Kastela Marina, getting settled on a yacht, purchase of food, discussing organizational details. Marina Kastela is located in the Kastela gulf, and is the largest marina in the area.
- Sunday
Kastela — Lastovo Island — 60 miles Lastovo Island is a Croatian nature park. But besides the beautiful nature, here you will see a real treasury of medieval architecture. Forty chapels and churches, and the Kastela military fortress attract travelers to this amazing island.
- Monday
Getting clearance to leave Croatia. Lastovo Island — Brindisi — 130 miles Arriving in Southern Italy. Brindisi is one of the three largest cities of Salento Peninsula with a real Mediterranean climate. Port of Brindisi — «Gateway to the East» — is one of the largest in the region. The city is also famous for Roman era limestone baths, a Swabian castle, pillars on a hill overlooking the sea, and other attractions.
- Tuesday
Brindisi — Crotone — 140 miles Crotone is a city on the Ionian Sea, which was founded by the Greeks in the 8th century BC. Many ancient Greek philosophers, athletes, and scientists come from this city. The historical center of Crotone was formed in the Middle Ages. It will be interesting to visit the castle of Charles the Fifth and see the many ancient churches.
- Wednesday
Crotone — Messina — 70 miles Messina is a major port city in Sicily. The city has many museums, cathedrals and other interesting sights.
- Thursday
Messina — Naples — 190 miles This is the longest crossing of our route, we will arrive in Naples the next day.
- Friday
Arrival in Naples, the end of the crossing, leaving the yacht.
Location
We will sail from Kastela Marina in Croatia to Naples. On the way we will make stops on the island of Lastovo in Croatia, and in the cities of Brindisi, Crotone and Messina in Italy.
