About the event
United Sailing Week - a week of yacht racing and fellowship with like-minded people!
The concept of United Sailing Week is the best sailing race, so the organizers are striving to provide the best yachts to the participants. In the Sport class, these are fast First 35s, in the Performance class - unique racing cruisers More 55 that combine comfort and dynamics, and the Comfort class will be presented by Bavaria 46 yachts with new sails!
We invite not only experienced sailors but also beginners to take part in the regatta. Under the guidance of an experienced skipper, you will learn the basics of sailing and will feel like a fish in water on a yacht.
From our the previous experience and knowing the desire of many crews to participate in the mixed-fleet handicap system regatta, we decided to divide the traditional ORC class into two divisions - ORC charter and ORC owner. In the ORC charter, only rented yachts will participate. Private yachts will participate in the ORC Owner division.
In 2020, in cooperation with the Skolkovo Technopark, an internal Techno Division will be organized as part of the Comfort class. Employees of resident companies of the park, as well as other innovative companies, will participate in it. A separate training and networking program will be provided for the participants in this division. Competitions will be held in a common group, and the results will be considered both in the general race and within the division.
This year there is a surprise - the prize fund! Teams that take first place in the divisions will receive a 100% payment entry fee for the United Sailing Week 2021 regatta. We hope that this will be an even better incentive to participate in this very exciting race!

It will be returned by the charter company in full if there is no damage. The deposit is collected in cash by the skipper on the first day. Any expenses are covered in equal proportions by all participants on the yacht, regardless of whose fault it was.

First half of the day - training 15.00 - start of the first race 20.00 - official opening of the regatta, gala dinner The first race in the waters of the beautiful Adriatic! Why is yachting in Croatia so good? Because it is not only exciting but also beautiful. The surrounding landscapes are simply breathtaking!

Location
The regatta will take place around Murter island in Croatia. There are many large and small islands, so the race routes will be interesting and unpredictable. There won’t be long race courses.

Yes, of course. There will be an experienced skipper and team members on the yacht. They will give you a role and teach you everything you need to know to be a useful team member and feel comfortable.
Yes, all team members will definitely try themselves in different roles to better understand each other. Standing at the helm is an integral part of training for beginners as well as setting sails, and helping the team during moorings.
As a rule, participants in the regatta live on the yacht. The boat has everything you need for a comfortable stay: nice beds, a kitchen, a shower with toilet. If you do not want to live on a yacht, then you can arrange to stay at the hotel onshore.
The crew decides altogether what kind of food they prefer to eat and makes necessary purchases. Simple dishes can be cooked, usually taking turns. Some regattas offer daily meals and intensive evening program for all crews.
We can make an invitation for a visa, but you need to apply for a visa by yourself.
Most people tolerate some seasickness easily. If you feel that you are starting to feel sick, it is best to get at the steering wheel or tune the sails. Get yourself busy, show your body that you don’t have time to get sick, you have to fight for victory in the race. There are also many quite effective medicines from sickness. If you start taking them in advance, then the probability of seasickness is almost zero.
Before each trip, we organize an online meeting where participants get to know each other and the captain. The captain will answer all your questions. The crew will have a group chat so you can get to know each other before the start of the regatta. Then you will meet in the marina.
The main rule is to dress comfortably and according to the weather.
Clothing:
- windbreaker and pants or shorts;
- shirt/jacket with UV protection (thermal underwear and fleece);
- adjustable hat/cap;
- gloves.
We recommend to purchase a long-sleeved jacket with UV protection in order to protect yourself from the sun and strong wind.
Yachting shoes should be:
- light, with non-slip white outsole;
- with the fixed heel;
- with a tightly closed nose.
During the sailing without shoes, you can fall or injure your fingers and feet on the deck. There are many protruding parts on the boat that are easy to catch. Unfortunately, even experienced sailors are not protected from unpleasant injuries when they ignore this simple rule.
