La Palma
La Palma is an ideal island for surfers who come here from all over the world to catch a wave. If you prefer a more relaxing holiday, head to Santa Cruz de la Palma, the island's capital. La Palma - Madeira, 190 miles
Finally, we will set off for the famous Portuguese island of Madeira. The name of the island is translated as “forest”. Madeira's forests occupy more than sixty percent of the entire territory. Exotic plants from around the world are collected in the island's botanical gardens. The highest point of the island is Pico Ruivo, from here you can see the whole Madeira Island.
Madeira, Funchal
Funchal is the main port and administrative center of Madeira Island. It is an ancient and beautiful city with amazing palaces and squares. From the top of Monte Mountain, you can enjoy the ocean and the city views. You can get there by funicular, and go back down on a wooden sleigh (this is a special kind of entertainment!). There are several botanical gardens in the city and around it: Orchid Garden and Jardim-Botanica with flower carpets. In Funchal, there is the magnificent St. Clara Cathedral and the old factory, where they make the famous bordados embroidery. And you can try the real Madeira wine in the village of Camara do Lobusch.
Madeira - Santa Cruz de Tenerife, 250 miles
