Taught over 40 hours, the course is a comprehensive introduction to cruising for inexperienced skippers and provides you with the required knowledge to navigate safely.

This course is for beginners and those who would like to become active crew members rather than just passengers.
You will be taught the fundamentals of crewing such as knots, nautical terms, sail handling and helming, as well as how to “live” in the environment of a cruising yacht.
Skippering a yacht for the first time can be a daunting yet exhilarating experience. The RYA Day Skipper practical course is designed to teach you to “Take Charge” safely and confidently.
This is a certificate of excellence for those candidates who wish to train to become an active crew member on a power or sailing yacht. It includes Introduction to Boating for power and sail yachts.
